Tap is rhythm – rhythm is tap. Its origins are many and varied. Tap is a form of dance characterised by using the sounds of tap shoes striking the floor as a form of percussion. Tap is as popular today as it was in the heyday of the great Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly musicals.
Our tap classes start from about two and a half to three years of age. Tap classes begin on Saturday mornings and move through the Grades to Grade 3. Then Grade 4 onwards continues on a Thursday from 4.30pm. We do offer an adult tap class too. Please click on the Adult Tap link for details. (Classes are at St James The Great, Bexley)
